Haveltea is independently produced in Surabaya. Our tea raw materials are sourced from Sumatra and Java.

Is Haveltea an Indonesian tea?

Yes. Haveltea uses 100% Indonesian tea as its main ingredient and is crafted with premium quality standards.

Where is the factory located?

Our factory is located in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Where do the tea leaves come from? Which regions in Java and Sumatra?

For black tea, the main raw materials are sourced from Jambi, West Sumatra, and West Java. For white tea, the origin is West Java.

Are fruit tea variants safe? Do they use artificial sweeteners?

Some fruit tea variants use food-grade fruit essence that is safe for consumption. The natural sweetness comes from dried fruits included in the tea blend. Additionally, we use stevia at a level of 0.1% as a sweetener.

What are the best-selling teas?

All Haveltea variants are considered best sellers, as preferences vary among customers. However, for first-time customers, we recommend trying Chrysantmint and Berrybiscous.

Do you use artificial flavoring or coloring? Why does the tea have color?

Haveltea products do not use artificial coloring. The color comes naturally from ingredients such as sappan wood (secang), hibiscus, and butterfly pea flower, which naturally release color during brewing.

Does sweet tea already contain sugar?

Some fruit tea variants use food-grade fruit essence and contain stevia at 0.1% to provide a mild sweetness.

Which tea is recommended for elderly people with low blood pressure?

We recommend Asana Bleu, as it is a caffeine-free herbal tea (tisane).

What is the best tea for elderly people?

For elderly consumers, we recommend caffeine-free options such as Asana Bleu for its warming properties, or Ararrya Jasmine, which has a familiar and mild taste.

Is Haveltea safe for pregnant women?

Haveltea teas are generally safe for consumption. However, we recommend consulting a doctor before consumption during pregnancy for personal assurance.

Are Haveltea teas safe for children?

All Haveltea variants are safe for all ages. If there are specific allergies or dietary restrictions, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional.

Is there a specific tea for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

We do not have a tea specifically formulated for pregnant or breastfeeding women. However, White Angkasa may be considered due to its high antioxidant content.

Which tea is suitable for detox?

We recommend Green Tea for detox purposes.

What tea is suitable for people who want to switch from coffee to tea?

We recommend teas with higher caffeine and bold flavors, such as Classic Earl Grey, Royal Breakfast, Banda Neira, Spices Chai, Lady Grey, and English Breakfast.

Besides Pure Chamomile and Asana Bleu, what other caffeine-free teas are available?

Other caffeine-free options include Verte Spearmint and SLEEP.

What are the caffeine-free tea options?

Our caffeine-free variants include Asana Bleu, Verte Spearmint, Pure Chamomile, and SLEEP.

Why does green tea have less caffeine than black tea?

Green tea undergoes less oxidation and processing, resulting in lower caffeine levels compared to black tea.

Which tea is easy to enjoy for beginners?

For beginners, we recommend Berrybiscous, Royal Breakfast, or Classic Earl Grey, as they have familiar and approachable flavors.

Which is better for sleep: SLEEP or Pure Chamomile?

SLEEP offers a more complex blend for relaxation, while Pure Chamomile is also effective as a gentle sleep aid.

Ordering

Can I place a custom order?

Yes, custom orders are available. Please inform us of the tea variant and quantity you require. Custom orders may require a minimum purchase quantity.

Do you sell ready-to-drink tea?

Currently, ready-to-drink tea is not available. However, tea testers are available at our offline store.

Measurement

How much loose-leaf tea should I use per cup?

We recommend 2.5–3 grams per 250 ml for a lighter taste, or 1 gram per 100 ml for a bolder flavor. Brewing ratios may vary by tea type.

Why does each tin contain a specific amount of tea?

Each tin is portioned according to standard serving recommendations for optimal brewing quality.

Is the ingredient composition listed on the packaging?

Yes, each product’s ingredient composition is clearly stated on the packaging. Please contact us if further details are needed.

Why does my tea taste bitter? What is the correct brewing temperature?

For green tea and white tea, we recommend brewing at 80°C. Bitterness may occur if the water is too hot or the steeping time is too long. Please follow the brewing guide on the packaging.

Will adding sugar affect the benefits of the tea?

Yes, adding sugar may alter the tea’s functional benefits, especially for relaxation-focused blends such as Pure Chamomile and SLEEP. Sweeteners are better suited for fruit or naturally sweet teas.

When is the best time to drink SLEEP tea?

We recommend drinking SLEEP tea approximately 1 hour before bedtime.

How do I make cold brew tea? Does it taste different?

Steep the tea in room-temperature water for 1 hour, then refrigerate for 6–8 hours. Cold brew tea produces a smoother yet bolder flavor due to longer steeping time.

Keeping

Can tea be stored in tins? Will it affect quality?

Yes, tea can be safely stored in tins as long as it is kept in a dry, cool place (maximum storage temperature: 29°C). Haveltea tins are designed to be airtight and light-resistant to maintain quality. We recommend keeping the tea in its inner foil packaging for best results.

After opening, should I follow the expiry date or opening date?

The expiry date listed on the tin remains valid. However, once opened, we recommend consuming the tea as soon as possible for optimal freshness.

Can brewed tea stored in the refrigerator be reheated the next day?

We do not recommend reheating brewed tea. For longer-lasting tea, we suggest using the cold brew method.

Are Haveltea teabags safe? What are the benefits of corn fiber teabags?

Yes, Haveltea teabags are safe and made from biodegradable corn fiber. They are durable, heat-resistant, and do not easily break down even when steeped in hot water.

If the teabag is made from corn fiber, why is it white instead of yellow? Does it use bleaching agents?

Corn fiber naturally contains yellow pigment (xanthophyll). During the teabag production process, this pigment naturally breaks down, resulting in a lighter color. No bleaching agents are used.

Is the teabag strong and safe during brewing?

Yes. Our corn fiber teabags are strong, do not tear during brewing, and remain biodegradable, making them environmentally friendly.

Why is Haveltea more expensive with smaller quantity compared to mass-market tea?

Our pricing reflects the premium quality of ingredients and precise serving measurements. Some variants provide up to 10 servings per tin. Purchasing in larger quantities or refill packs offers better value.

Is black tea suitable for high blood pressure?

For managing high blood pressure, we recommend Green Tea rather than Black Tea, due to its lower caffeine content.

What are the benefits of white tea, green tea, and black tea?

White and green teas are valued for their high antioxidant content. Black tea contains higher caffeine, making it suitable for morning consumption and warming the body. Green tea is refreshing and suitable for active conditions or warm climates.

Is oolong tea good for cholesterol?

Yes, oolong tea is known to support healthy cholesterol levels.

What is the difference in caffeine between coffee and tea?

Coffee contains significantly higher caffeine levels compared to tea.

What does “organic tea” mean at Haveltea?

Organic means our tea is grown without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, setting it apart from conventional variants.

Why do fruit tea blends taste slightly sweet?

Some fruity tea blends contain stevia to enhance and balance the flavor profile, creating a smoother and more harmonious taste while remaining natural and zero-calorie.

Are Haveltea teas available in sachets?

For upcoming orders, we are using our latest packaging format in pouches containing 30 teabags or 90 teabags (without individual sachets). An updated price list will be provided to help you choose according to your needs.
